Someone on a message board I frequent recently mentioned pumpkin butter. I was intrigued. I've heard of apple butter but never actually *had* it. But pumpkin butter was a new concept to me.
I went digging for a recipe and finally made some last night.
Oh.My.Goodness.
I crave pumpkin pie around this time of year. Pumpkin ice cream too. But now that I'm having issues digesting milk products, neither of those is something I'm willing to eat (I'd rather not be sick for days or have an even pukier baby, tyvm).
I put some on some cornbread (which I made with goat milk) this morning. It really is like having pumpkin pie for breakfast ... Yummo.

Mmm, that does sound tasty. I happen to have a can of pumpkin that I was going to make pumpkin cheesecake with but decided against because no one would eat it except me and that'd be BAD.
Sue took down the post, but I think I read it before she did. I ran into her website from Annie's - and read her whole pseudo-blog in one night while I was working.
speaking of Annie, she said they can actually put the vampire stuff on a bunch of different tees, just so ya know. I'm tempted by her new Edward sucks one.
it is awesome, but i think next time i'm leaving out the nutmeg -- i like nutmeg, but it's not in traditional pumpkin pie, so i think i'm not wanting it in there.
yeah, i noticed she'd taken it down booger.
ahhhh ... i'll have to check them out. my sis-in-law asked if she has stephenie meyers' permission, btw. lol
ooh yeah, I don't like nutmeg. i was going off your description of it being like pumpkin pie. i would have skipped it anyway, i'm pretty sure i don't have any.
I like nutmeg in a few things. And it wasn't as noticeable on my buttered toast tonight ... lol
