Score one for breast milk

Mojo weighs 13 pounds 13 ounces. For the baby who had failure to thrive at 4 days of life and had lost a pound in those 4 days, who very well could have died from the combination of failure to thrive and jaundice and the poor suck he had from being a premie, he's not suffering at all now ... He's more than doubled his low weight of 6 pounds 12 ounces, and will soon have doubled his birth weight (3 more weeks maybe, when he hits 15-1/2 pounds).

After the nurse weighed him, the doc came in and said, "well, he's gaining a little weight," while he was laughing. I laughed too. Then we were talking about his reflux, and he asked how much supplement we're giving him. "Oh, 5-6 ounces ..." "oh, but his stomach can't hold that much at a time." "No, I meant 5 to 6 ounces a DAY in 1 or 2 ounce increments." His eyes bugged out of his head and he started flipping through the chart. "he's gained 2 pounds in 3 weeks and that's all the supplement he's getting???" bwahahahaha ... how weird is it that I'm all proud of my milk now. lol.
