Twilight

I was half tempted to buy this on Saturday, but held off. My niece, KerliFan, loaned me her DVD. She's awesome that way.

I just watched it. I liked it better than she did. That's not to say I loved it, just ... yeah. Um. She LOVES the books and has a huge crush on Jacob Black (both the character and the actor portraying him), but uh, she *hated* the movie.

There were things I liked about it and thought were well done and true to the story, although Edward was more awkward than I thought he would be. He was awesome as Cedric Diggory, so I figured he'd do fine ... but ... no. I think his prosthetic teeth were giving him pains or something. Shark Boy did a decent job as Jacob Black, which surprised me. Bella was great (except that one awkward scene where she confronted Edward -- just weird), Charlie wasn't exactly as I'd pictured him, but the rest of the kids and the vampires (both "good" and "evil) were spot on. The "glittering" was not how I'd imagined either...

Oh, and remember when I posted this spoof? Here, I'll post it again.

Yeah, I totally thought of that and laughed OUT LOUD funny at the part in the movie where he jumps out the window.

Kiddo wanted to see it, but she's in trouble for not cleaning her room. So she did see a few minutes while I wrestled Bambino, but she has to finish her room before she can finish the movie (daddy sez, hahaha).

Oh my gosh. I love Charlie! I think he's the best one there! And Edward was awkward. Like so awkward I wish I hadn't seen the movie.

Oops, forgot to say ... "If I weren't happily married to the hottest man alive, I'd totally have a crush on Charlie. I'd pictured him way less hot." hahahaha.

EXACTLY -- he sort of wrecked the movie.

I liked the movie, but LOVED the book. I felt like the movie's story line messed up the book. I think I want to read it again.

Oh, I thought that movie was awful. I really hope they have a bigger budget for the next one.

Yeah, the definitely need a bigger budget!! Maybe then Rosalie might actually look 'beautiful' like the book describes. I think everyone's hair (except for Edward's) was pretty bad...Dr. Cullen--bad idea!

David and his bro and sis watched that on Saturday night while I worked. I didn't see a lot, but hated most of what I saw. I meant to watch it by myself before he sent it back, but it's already gone and I'm not that put out about it. I thought I watched most of the scenes after the bad vampires came, which was the good part of the book for me, when stuff started actually happening, ya know?, but it felt like that part took like 2 minutes in the movie. The fight scene (burning) was crap. I guess I'll reserve final judgement until I really watch it, but eh.
