Stephanie tagged me.
I often read her blog and find inspiration in her blog entries on every day things that happen in mommies' lives, creating a link between those normal things and a spiritual lesson I usually need right then. So, if you need an uplift, visit her blog.
It's eight random things about me.
One: After we cleaned out a bunch of *stuff* (including the TV) from our living room, I'm suddenly loving my condo again. It's still not big enough for our growing family, but at least it looks and feels bigger now, and I won't mind staying here another year or two until we can get it sold (and make some money in the process). I haven't loved living here for a while because of how cramped it felt.
Two: I love to cook and will try most yummy-sounding recipes I come across, even if they have things in them I'd never heard of before.
Three: I wish I had a piano. Honestly and truly, this is one thing I wish I *could* cram into our condo. It will have to wait until we get a house, however. But I do miss playing and singing with a piano and want my kids to learn how to play.
Four: I took human anatomy for fun in college and loved it so much I decided to become a doctor. Then reality hit when I took chemistry, and it didn't like me. I use the knowledge I gained in anatomy nearly every day at my medical transcription job, so I am glad I temporarily lost my sanity and did something that hard for "fun".
Five: I read the entire twilight series in a few days, not because I loved the writing, but was intrigued by the story and had to know how it played out. The story line was great, but did not love the angsty girliness of it all. Stephen King, creepy as he is, agreed with me. Or something. And this seriously bugs me: I always thought of Jacob as someone much like my husband, a big Lamanite dude. Not the scrawny little kid they cast in the movies (shark boy? REALLY?), so I'm not sure I'll ever watch it.
Six: It takes me way too much time to think of random things.
Seven: Even though having less stuff makes me happier, I'm still a pack rat and there are things I should probably get rid of that I am having a hard time parting with. Hubby is doing his best to be patient and helpful, but ...
Eight: I exercised today for the first time in months. It felt good. As part of my new year's goals, I should've been doing it for a while, but I am taking things a step at a time. I quit Pepsi, so that's one, and I'm cooking more and cleaning more, so that's another ... and I've been crafting on occasion ... so ... that's this week's add into the mix.
And there you have it. I tag ... hm. kaje, cupcake, ehu, steph, kipluck, mamabear, mamakatz, and EF.
With the disclaimer Stephanie used: With a mutual understanding that you do not have to do this if you don’t want to, but if you DO, come back here and leave me a link so I can read it. If anyone else feels up for the challenge too, go for it! I’d love to read about you.

The casting of Jacob was bizarre.
I agree.... Have you SEEEEEN the videos of him???? It's soooooooo ridiculous!
Yay, thanks for doing this. It was GREAT to learn more about you. I'm so impressed by your cooking, piano playing, swimsuit confidence, and Pepsi quitting. I may be the last woman alive who has NOT read Twilight.
And thanks for your kind words at my blog. :)
In jacobs defense he was small in the first book. It isn't until he become Wolf...that he gets massive.
Hey girl...you definately need that piano!
I bet it would make everyone around you happier that you would have you "release". Don't wait....look on craigslist and get a cheap one...then leave it with the house!
Oh, I remember he was sort of small in the first one, but they didn't re-cast him in the next one, and he's supposed to be huge. Y'know? Plus, I doubt I can ever look at the kid and think anything but "shark boy" and "little kid". lol.
I looked on ksl.com and found a piano for not too much, but we decided to wait. *sigh*
OH MY GOSH... He totally is Sharkboy!!! I can't believe I didn't realize that before! Man... I'm so in shock over that.
i totally agree - jacob wasn't HUGE until #2. and i couldn't look at him without seeing "sharkboy." poor thing - stuck with that moniker for life! hehehe
in his defense, he has bulked up A LOT and FOUGHT for that role to remain his. he's on the lean meat and protein powder diet, and he has some nice guns now. i'm a little grossed out to say that about someone young enough to be my SON, but yeah.
actually, discover health has been running footage of the "pregnant man", and he/she has some really great musculature too. i'm not thinking about that too hard. see me not thinking about it? (feel free to hijack that topic - can't wait to see the feedback!)
"i'm a little grossed out to say that about someone young enough to be my SON, but yeah."
That is part of my reluctance to see the movie(s) in a nutshell. It's one thing to read it and imagine Patrick Dempsey as Edward to make it less creepy, but the thought of thinking of these young kids as hot is kinda weird to me. Though, even as a teenager, I wouldn't have swooned for what's his name that plays Edward so maybe I shouldn't be worried.
Yeah ... I wouldn't have swooned for Edward (Robert Pattinson) or Jacob (Sharkboy... I mean whatever his name is) either. Actually, I might've for Edward back then. But ewwww ... heebiejeebies, not my cup of hot cocoa. They are TOO YOUNG.
I will DEFINITELY take Edward ANY DAY!! Gosh, he is so HOT!! I know I'm not 17, but MAN! I CANNOT stop looking at his face. He's beautiful!
hahahaha.
